CLMG Corp. (“CLMG”) is looking for a new Litigation Attorney to manage commercial and residential litigation for CLMG clients including in-house managed cases and those from outside loan servicers. This position will report to the SVP, Chief Litigation Officer.CLMG manages and services commercial loan portfolios and other assets after origination and acquisition. The CLMG team is highly experienced and professional, boasting an average of over twenty years of portfolio management experience per portfolio manager. The team manages performing and non-performing loans secured by assets located across the nation and in a variety of international locales. A portion of CLMG’s business includes unsecured loans. In addition to servicing these loans, CLMG also markets real estate owned (REO) properties for its lenders.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
Manage the day-to-day issues related to residential and commercial complex lender liability cases.Manage the day-to-day issues related to commercial and bankruptcy cases as well as support Portfolio Managers in loan enforcement, title and related actions.Defend REO citations and enforcement actions related to evictions and foreclosed properties.Prepare quarterly litigation watch reports.Supervise and direct outside counsel. Review pleadings for factual accuracy. Direct litigation strategy consistent with CLMG litigation practices and philosophy.Prepare litigation budgets and manage outside counsel invoices. Review and evaluate assigned loans, obligor collectability and submit recommendations for consideration by management.Attend trials, depositions or mediations as the representative on behalf of CLMG and affiliated entities.Job Requirements (Include but are not limited to):
CLMG management believes that the enterprise functions most efficiently when the workforce is fully onsite. This position is required to complete the workday fully onsite, at the Plano office, 5 days per week.Minimum 7 years litigation experience with consumer and residential loan servicing issues – including default, work-outs, modifications, bankruptcy and foreclosure.Minimum 7 years litigation experience with complex commercial litigation, defending lender liability claims, representing secured creditors, bankruptcy claim disputes and real estate issues.Extensive first chair trial experience. Jury trial experience preferred.Strong working familiarity with: collection law, UFTA, UCC, FIRREA, pre and post judgment remedies and receivers.Must be familiar with CFPB, FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, ECOA and TILA along with state and federal consumer privacy and protection acts.Ability to supervise professional-level and clerical employees.Bachelor’s and J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school.Currently licensed and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction.Superior writing and presentation skills.On occasion, must be able to travel on short notice.Benefits Options Include:
