Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program Director
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Our Department of Academic Psychiatry is seeking an academic Child and Adolescent psychiatrist to lead our Child Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program. Experience in leading ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency programs is highly desirable. This is a clinician educator position with direct patient care responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Commit at least 50% effort to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program.
Oversee the overall administration of the training program, including recruitment and development of standards for admission.
Establish goals and objectives for the training program and monitor the quality of the clinical and didactic curriculum.
Evaluate the performance and progress of residents and work with faculty on graduation recommendations.
Consult and collaborate with the Director of the General Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
Collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in developing programs for medical students.
Maintain records documenting all activities related to the training program.
Monitor compliance with ACGME/RRC Program Requirements.
Teach and supervise both medical students and residents.
Negotiate with the Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry for resource allocation.
Meet clinical productivity targets as determined by Department Chair and/or Directors.
Ensure timely transmission of data for billing purposes.
Work with faculty and residents to develop a manual of written policies and procedures in compliance with ACGME requirements.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy with completed ACGME or AOA accredited residency in psychiatry and an accredited fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Licensed or eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.
Prior experience as program director or associate training director is highly desirable, with a minimum of 3 years in residency education, supervision, mentoring, and administration.
Skills and Certifications:
Board Certified in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
Previous experience as a Program Director or Associate Program Director
Candidate Details:
