About The Role
As a security consultant in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today’s ever-changing cybersecurity landscape. Serving as a security consultant, your day-to-day role will include performing National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-30 based risk assessments, NIST 800-53 based compliance assessments, and assessments of systems and organizations that may include vulnerability scanning, web application scanning, cloud security controls assessments, and security educational outreach, as well as assessments of vendor systems. You should have a demonstrated desire to learn and acquire new skills.
This role will require onsite work in Albany, NY.
About You:
Required Qualifications
Education and/or experience in cybersecurity.Skills in other security domains, well versed in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the assessment of risk, and able to understand the root causes of vulnerabilities and to articulate those in written and verbal communications to clients.Knowledge of and experience with the implementation and validation of security controls.Experience with NIST 800-30 style risk assessments.Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity work.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications
Experience with vulnerability discovery techniques and tools.Experience and training in cloud computing environments and security considerations.Experience with artificial intelligence enabled solutions.Experience with incident response and disaster recovery.
Education And Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field of study and a minimum of five years' experience. An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.Formal cybersecurity training, certifications, or certificates or equivalent education.
The pay range for this position is $79,793.00 to $109,716.00 per year.
