Job Summary:The Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for a full range of planning, forecasting, and analysis activities including creating financial models, incorporating guidance received on validated assumptions, as well as challenging data and information integrity. The Senior Analyst supports sales team management and other partners by providing decision support to the business.This role will be based out of the Chicago office.Essential Functions:Develops the Divisional annual plans by incorporating guidance received on validated assumptions; assists in preparation of related presentation/deliverables to senior leadership.Builds forecast models using key drivers, trend analysis, economic and external factors; monitors accuracy and predictability of existing models.Analyzes monthly and quarterly operating results versus budgeted targets and prior year to better understand variances across the divisions.Continuously improves accuracy by aligning to key drivers and identifying variance root causes.Creates and assists in the development of P&L statements for new items, account performance, and pricing.Assists with the creation of analytical tools and models to drive revenue/expense management and efficient processes.Produces and distributes recurring and ad hoc management reports.Assists in preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations for Senior Management.Maintains and upgrades P&L templates as needed.Selectively audits approved requests for accuracy.Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.2-3 years of experience in FP&A or Accounting.Outstanding quantitative skills, including advanced MS Excel abilities, required.Experience using data analytics to drive company growth efforts, increasing revenue or other key business outcomes required.Strong knowledge of retail and consumer products.Experience with manufacturing finance and accounting preferred.Oracle JD Edwards and ReportsNow experience preferred.
