Our core responsibilities include business performance measurement and assessment, analyzing results and recommending improvements; support the planning and forecasting processes. Our bank relies on our group to make better decisions, plan for the future, and effectively manage its balance sheet and business as a whole.The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting client groups by supporting the research and analysis of projects, partnering with operational team members. The role applies basic theories to develop a detailed understanding of CIBC’s financial results in order to support the development and updating project financials. The Financial Analyst analyzes situations and data to complete ad hoc financial research, analysis, and reporting for the project management team. The ability to interact and manage successful and effective relationships at all levels is a critical component of this position.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Work with assigned groups to develop and submit budget/forecasts.Produce monthly reporting packages.Participate in month-end close process.Understand and manage balance sheet analysis for project accruals.Represent US Finance in cross-functional meetings.Assist to define and document new processes/solutions for complex reporting requirements.Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.5+ years of experience.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Essbase experience a plus.Self-starter with the ability to work independently.Client service focused that anticipates internal clients in a manner that shows a commitment to continuous improvement and delivers high-quality output.Who You Are:
