Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.Brown & Brown Insurance has an exciting opportunity available for a VP of Commercial Lines Sales & Carrier Relations for our Gulf States team.Primary responsibilities are to provide leadership and development opportunities to all sales teammates within the Gulf States Profit Center. The leader will develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-term business goals and objectives of the Profit Center. The leader will also establish, maintain, and cultivate client, carrier, and enterprise-wide business partnerships. The leader will recruit, develop, and retain top talent; and manage the overall revenue objectives of the Profit Center through effective leadership.WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Strategically recruit, qualify, and interview prospective teammates for the sales team and keep contact with new teammates throughout onboarding to ensure efficient and effective plans are being followed.Maximize Producers development efforts through the use of BBU and other tools and resources available.Train and mentor Producers/Marketers in areas such as coverage review, exposure analysis, sales philosophy-set up for “win”, exposure checklists as required by QC, sales-marketing-service procedures relating to sales associates’ responsibilities, assimilating information from prospect, preparing new business submissions.Assist producers in identifying sales opportunities and tracking sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis through our technology products, i.e., Dynamics platform, for effective and efficient utilization.Assist production staff in gathering client/prospect information and data for marketing purposes; develop client/prospect narratives; perform exposure risk assessments where applicable identifying possible gaps in existing coverage; and identify specific needs of the client/prospect.Make prospect calls with production staff on accounts having income of $10,000 or greater or where reasonably necessary with developing producers.Accompany Producers on new business calls and any new business or renewal presentations, as needed.Work with PCL and individual producers to establish annual sales goals by size, type, class and mix of business.Personally assist P&C Producers to generate 20% or more of their Top Gun revenue year over year.Document preparation and review, including but not limited to producer performance agreements, pre-qualification, and post proposal documents.Assure that the quality of each producer’s service fully meets client needs and reflects the professional standards of the Agency.Develop, establish and nurture carrier partner relationships.Attend carrier and wholesale seminars to continually be informed of industry changes and developments, planning to be in concert with PCL.Work in a concerted effort with the PCL and AL to build any and all bonus/growth programs with our trade partners.Focused efforts to grow business with Brown & Brown owned wholesalers and managing general agents where best for the client.Attend and contribute to all marketing meetings regarding strategies for placement of new and renewal business.Perform all other duties as assigned.WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

RequiredBachelor’s Degree.Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).Exceptional telephone demeanor.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Acceptable driving record.5 years sales experience.P & C License.PreferredBachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline.Management experience.CIC Designation.WHAT WE OFFER:
