We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with intellectual curiosity and a passion for collaboratively driving improvement to join our team at Fingerhut. As a member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will play an integral role in supporting the Fingerhut mission and driving financial results. By ensuring the integrity of our financials, providing insights through analysis and reporting, and using your unique expertise to provide grounded recommendations, you will have the opportunity to influence and enable the business to take action.

This role will contribute to the company’s success by providing financial support and exceptional service for Credit strategy and operations teams. Key responsibilities include managing complex models to track, analyze and report on trends in portfolio revenue and losses, as well as providing expense management support for Credit Strategy and Ops leaders.

This role is based out of our Eden Prairie, MN corporate office within our hybrid environment that has team members come into the office 3 days a week.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesFinancial Modeling and ReportingManage complex models with multiple sources to ensure integrity of portfolio reportingPerform monthly variance and trend analysis ensuring complete understanding of monthly results and variancesBudgeting and ForecastingPartner with Credit and Finance teams to develop forecasts for expense related to Credit G&A, Statement & Payment Processing, and other Credit Operations areasFacilitate management’s understanding of financial performance including variances to plan and prior forecasts, identifying performance trends, risks and opportunitiesReview and challenge key assumptions, drivers and metrics used to develop forecasts and plansManagement ConsultationFinancial analysis to support key business decisionsSupport and drive changeOther duties as assigned
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other applicable majors4+ years of finance, accounting, operations, business analytics or planning experience with progressive responsibilityExcellent analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel), demonstrate critical thinking, ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendationsStrong technical skills including MS Excel, MS Office products
Preferred QualificationsHyperion Essbase experience a plusSelf-sufficient and proactive aptitude to solving business challengesProven ability to build and maintain strong, cross-functional working relationships and add value as a financial business partnerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience presenting financial results to partnersThrive in a fast-paced, transforming environment and deliver results under tight deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
