Bachelor's Degree, Minimum of 5 years applicable experience (3 years in healthcare setting preferred)Remote Position: Local candidates preferredProficient in usage of different analytical functions (Partition By, Rank, Sum, Group By, Order By clauses, Lead, Lag, etc)Optimize SQL queries/Performance TuningIntegration and working with multiple sources/ different datasetsExpertise in using Nested, Sub and inner Queries and its appropriate usage.Experience in handling errors and fixing SQL issuesHealthcare domain experience is negotiable; other domain experience is acceptable.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Collects, analyzes and summarizes data to support business decisions.Identifies opportunities for reuse of data across the enterprise and validates data sources.Keeps abreast of new tools & technology and functionalities across the application(s).Works closely with customers, vendors, business analysts and application development project teams to resolve information flow and content issues.Ensures data integrity and compliance by performing data profiling and validations.Facilitates meetings with clients to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.Gathers data and reporting requirements, detects and summarizes patterns in data, and produces simple reports while working with development teams for problem resolutions.Data-Warehousing Skills:
Understands Star Schema, Snowflake, and data warehousing methodologies like Bill Inmon and Ralph Kimball.Good understanding of slowly changing dimensions (SCDs) and their types/usage.Responsible for designing, building, and supporting the components of data warehouse, such as ETL processes, databases, reports, and reporting environments.Expertise in creation of BRD, STM, and solution design documents.Contract to hire position Remote for now, will eventually work from the HAP office in Troy. Will be using Datastage/Cognos/PowerBI.Conversion Salary will be largely based on performance and number of years of relevant experience.Specifics:
SQL skillset must be strong.Data Warehousing experience (can be relaxed if SQL skills and other requirements are good).Healthcare domain knowledge (can be relaxed if SQL skills and other requirements are good).SQL Concepts:
