Position SummaryOur client, a rapidly growing post startup company headquartered in South Miami, is seeking an experienced Attorney to join their team and participate in an exciting phase of expansion into other states. As a Litigation Commercial Attorney, you will play a crucial role in handling business litigation, commercial disputes, and contract litigation matters.
Job ResponsibilitiesRepresent the company in commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to business disputes, contract disputes, and first-party property litigation.Draft legal documents, conduct legal research, and participate in negotiations to protect the company’s interests.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal partners to develop effective litigation strategies.Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
Education / ExperienceJuris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.A minimum of 7 years of experience in litigation and commercial law.Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Required QualificationsExtensive experience in commercial litigation.Specific expertise in areas such as business disputes, commercial litigation, and contract disputes, with a preference for experience in first-party property litigation.Admission to practice law in the state of New York or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
Advantageous QualificationsGeneral counsel experience.
