About your role

We have open roles on our GP Experience (GPX) team and our Services team.GP Experience (GPX)Juniper Square serves two sides of the private capital markets, the investment managers (GPs) and the investors (LPs). The GP eXperience team (i.e., GPX) is responsible for Juniper Square’s product offering for General Partners (GPs). This is our core product that enables all other innovation at Juniper Square as we unlock and improve the world’s private capital markets. Our platform handles billions of dollars of transactions each month and we are actively expanding into additional private asset classes such as Venture Capital & Private Equity. Come help us innovate in fundraising, reporting, asset-ownership mapping, and more.Our contacts team helps General Partners strengthen and understand their relationships with existing and prospective investors. You will work in our greenfield project to build a new 3rd party integrations platform that will reduce time to market for new integrations. In addition, you will also work in other areas, including contacts and lead management.The investor communications team focuses on post-investment (after an investor has committed funds with a manager) communication between GPs and LPs. We strive to make communication easy and available so that investors have the information at their fingertips and GPs can spend less time addressing requests for one-off investor information. We support the ability for managers to perform tasks such as sending and tracking emails, managing investor access to the portal, creating reports and statements to share with investors, uploading and sharing documents, and customizing their workspace and investor experience.ServicesAs we’ve been expanding our offerings to our customers, we’ve found a strong product market-fit expanding into new, full service offerings. The Services Track is focused on building out the technology platform to enable and scale these offerings. From fundraising to fund accounting and investor relations to capital markets, these services are the fastest growing offerings at Juniper Square.The Fund Accounting Automation team focuses on building features for our scaling Fund Admin business. Automating current accounting flows and creating powerful new tools allows us to help empower our internal teams to take on more business and service our existing customers more efficiently. Our goal is to create a streamlined set of tools to serve as a way for our customers to receive a reliable modern fund administration experience.What you’ll do

As a Back End or Full Stack Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners across our product, design, and quality assurance teams to extend and build out new system capabilities. Your role is to collaborate with the team to deliver on these objectives and contribute to evolving our platform's infrastructure to meet expanding scope and scale.Contribute to large, complex projects in a team, and execute development tasks to completionParticipate in project kick offs and adapt technical specifications for implementationDefine new and expand existing data models, including database schema and object models in the data access layerImplement required business logic in the service layerDefine and implement GraphQL schema and resolvers and integrate with the front endWrite integration and unit tests for your code and perform code reviews for colleaguesProvide technical support for stakeholder groups such as customer successParticipate in monitoring, diagnosing, and addressing production issuesYou will primarily work with Python, Node, and ReactQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience2+ years of experience building cloud-based web applicationsExpertise in object oriented programming (OOP) such as Python, Node, Java, C#, C++ or other server-side web application development languages (experience with Python preferred)Experience with SQL database schema design and query optimizationExperience with GraphQL, Apollo Server, React, and NestJS is a plus but not requiredYou must be flexible and adaptable—you will be operating in a fast-paced startup environmentAt Juniper Square, we believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture makes us a better company. Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
