GP Experience

Juniper Square serves two sides of the private capital markets, the investment managers (GPs) and the investors (LPs). The GP eXperience team (i.e., GPX) is responsible for Juniper Square’s product offering for General Partners (GPs). This is our core product that enables all other innovation at Juniper Square as we unlock and improve the world’s private capital markets. Our platform handles billions of dollars of transactions each month and we are actively expanding into additional private asset classes such as Venture Capital & Private Equity. The Team

We are currently hiring for Software Engineer II, Back End within two GPX teams:

Our CRM team handles building CRM capabilities which helps General Partners strengthen and understand their relationships with existing and prospective investors. You will also work on our greenfield project to build a new 3rd party integrations platform that will reduce time to market for new integrations.

Team Equities, also known for asset management, is responsible for building and maintaining the foundational blocks of the GPX Software. Some examples of what you will be responsible for tracking include ownership for all managed investments, and all transactions between investors and the funds regarding an investment. This is ensuring the right amounts are allocated correctly. Essentially we are powering their information tracking and making it easier to track who invests in what versus traditional spreadsheets. This will enable new asset classes such as Private Equity Venture Capital (PEVC) and many others in the future.

About Your Role

As a back-end software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with other engineers and cross-functional partners across our product, design, and quality assurance teams to extend and build out new system capabilities. Your role is to collaborate with the team to deliver on these objectives and contribute to evolving our platform's infrastructure to meet expanding scope and scale.

Contribute to large, complex projects in a team, and execute development tasks to completionParticipate in project kick offs and adapt technical specifications for implementationDefine new and expand existing data models, including database schema and object models in the data access layerImplement required business logic in the service layerDefine and implement GraphQL schema and resolvers and integrate with the front endWrite integration and unit tests for your code and perform code reviews for colleaguesProvide technical support for stakeholder groups such as customer successParticipate in monitoring, diagnosing, and addressing production issuesYou will primarily work with Python, Node, and React

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience2+ years of experience building cloud-based web applicationsExpertise in object oriented programming (OOP) such as Python, Node, Java, C#, C++ or other server-side web application development languagesExperience with SQL database schema design and query optimizationExperience with GraphQL, Apollo Server, React, and NestJS is a plus but not requiredYou must be flexible and adaptable—you will be operating in a fast-paced startup environment

Compensation

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary for this role is $128,000 - $160,000. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
