We also have physical offices in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX, for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.About Your RoleWe are hiring a capital activities specialist to act as a trusted partner to our private markets customers and their investors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced start-up environment to help build out Juniper Square’s Fund Administration service offering. Juniper Square is on a mission to transform the Fund Administration offering to Private Markets. We are more than a Fund Administrator, we are a Modern Fund Administrator. As a capital activities specialist your main responsibilities will be to use JSQ software and excel to manage our customer’s day-to-day capital activities transactions including building complex waterfalls, calculating partner level distributions and capital call amounts, and the investor facing reporting related to those activities. You will have a significant opportunity to shape the trajectory of our service offering and in so doing help to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers. This is an opportunity to couple prior education and experience and to learn from some of the best talent in Private Markets.What You’ll DoUse Juniper Square software to manage our customers’ day-to-day transaction related operations including building waterfalls, calculating distributions, multiple close rebalancing and calculating capital call amountsAnalyze and understand a limited partnership agreement in relation to distributions, waterfalls, and capital calls. Develop and maintain complex waterfall and capital call models in accordance with clients’ Limited Partnership AgreementsIdentify and flag areas of improvement in our processes and proceduresCollaborate with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Fund Accounting to ensure we are delivering a best-in-class offering to our customersInterface directly with clients to deliver an outstanding client experienceQualifications5+ years of experience in a financial services, investment management, or accounting-related rolePrior experience building waterfall models in Excel and calculating distribution amountsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of integrity and desire to consistently do the right thing for our customers and for the businessPassion for technology and a desire to use technology to improve business operationsAbility to be a self-starter: you identify problems and take ownership of finding and implementing solutionsHighly flexible and adaptable to change; ability to handle multiple projects at once while staying close to the detailsYou see opportunity in ambiguity; this is the right role for you if you have a vision for building something new and big!At Juniper Square, we believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture makes us a better company. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $120,000 and the Canadian base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 CAD. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
