As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Ridgeline, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the UI framework and platforms to build high-quality, complex, FinTech industry defining cloud applications. Our team of engineers are building a platform to enable a fast-moving, creative, progressive work environment. You’ll think outside the box and add your own genius, passion, and interests to the software development life cycle.
The Platform UI team is responsible for providing the underlying foundation for all of the UI built at Ridgeline. Our mission is to create leverage and enable product engineers to quickly build high quality experiences for our customers. We partner closely with product teams to ensure we build the right solutions for their needs - with a focus on developer productivity, experience, and maintainability. In addition to UI framework development, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining our front-end DevOps tooling, from build pipelines to deployment as we expand our reach into lightweight backend services to support the UI.

What will you do?
Partner closely with product engineers to understand their needs, build highly leverageable solutions, and deliver features for our customersContribute to the thought leadership, technical design, and implementation of our underlying UI framework in an Agile team collaborating on design, strategy, and engineeringBuild, manage, and maintain our pipelines and bundlesThink creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly every step of the wayEngage in a collaborative environment deeply rooted in learning, teaching, and transparencyDemonstrate a strong dedication to code quality, automation, and operational excellence
Preferred Skills And Experience
12+ years in a software engineering position or similar functionStrong history of architecting and designing new products and technologiesA degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or related disciplineDeep working knowledge of front-end build tooling in the React ecosystem (such as Webpack, ESBuild, etc)Understanding of building back-end infrastructure using AWS offerings such as Lambdas, S3, CDKTFDocker-based container architectureWillingness to learn about new technologies, while simultaneously developing expertise in a business domain/problem spaceAbility to focus on short-term deliverables, while maintaining a big-picture perspectiveAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and all audiencesSerious interest in having fun at work

Compensation And Benefits
The cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $205,000 to $247,500 for individuals based in New York and California. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
