St. Johnsbury, Vermont: We invite a skilled General Surgeon to join the medical staff of a highly respected, award-winning 25-bed critical access hospital in scenic northeastern Vermont, near the borders with Canada and New Hampshire. This hospital operates a 24/7 ER and hospitalist program, and offers primary care, surgical and specialty services to thousands of residents in several surrounding towns. A nearby tertiary care center handles the most serious patients as needed.
This is a highly supportive environment! Come to this friendly, growing region and join two fellow surgeons and a PA in an interesting, broad-scope practice seeing all types of patients. MDs and DOs are equally welcome. You will average 15-18 outpatient visits / 6-10 cases daily, supported by a skilled clinical and administrative team. Scopes are required. Candidates with Pacemaker skills will receive priority attention! There is no vascular surgery here.
The outpatient clinic is located right on the hospital campus. The medical center has 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. You will be impressed by the experienced, caring staff, and the hospital’s state-of-the-art technology.
