territory sales representative
for commercial lines, you'll travel to independent agencies within your territory to assist with managing, upselling, and obtaining referrals. You’ll meet in-person to influence agencies to market Progressive services and products, while also providing marketing strategies. Additionally, you’ll prospect for new agencies in the territory. You’ll be provided a company vehicle, phone, laptop, and company card.Territory:
Virginia, Metro DC, Maryland, Delaware, and surrounding communities. Candidates must be able to travel to and meet with all agencies within this geographic area. There is overnight travel with this position (approximately 1-2 nights per week).Home office location:
Alexandria, Metro DC, Fairfax, and surrounding communities.Must-have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study (Marketing, Business Management) and three years of outside business to business sales experience.Instead of a degree, five years of outside business to business sales experience or five years of experience in the property and casualty field.Compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policy.Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.Preferred Skills
Demonstrated outside business-to-business sales experience.Ability to work independently – prior experience in a field-based role.Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with a customer relationship management tool (i.e., Salesforce).Compensation
$91,000 - $111,000/year.Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.Benefits
