We are seeking a Medical Billing Manager to work for a Medical Clinic in Chicago. The Manager would work 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and report to the Chief Financial Officer. The Billing Manager will provide financial, administrative and clerical services and assist in ensuring accuracy and efficiency of billing services.Responsibilities include:Process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts.Track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.Facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization by sending bill reminders and making collection calls to outstanding accounts.Monitor physicians/providers encounters ensuring receipt of encounters within 72-hours of services rendered and report to the Finance Director.Billing Manager must have strong time management skills, excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, knowledge of organizing information, and general math skills. Must be able to work closely with staff to identify, resolve, and share information regarding payer trends, guidelines, and any new updates. It is also important to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems. Understanding and adhering to HIPAA and PHI guidelines, having excellent customer service skills, and being familiar with medical terminology and medical insurance codes are essential. Experience working with electronic health records programs, such as NextGen, and proficiency in using computer and MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required.Compensation
