OVERVIEW:The Director of Petrochemicals & Chemicals (PCC) Sales in the USA is a member of the Leadership team of KSB USA. Reporting to the Vice President, Standard Business North America, you will be responsible for the P&L along with the overall business performance and growth of the Petrochemicals & Chemicals (PCC) business across the USA.To be successful as the Director, PCC Sales role you will function within the existing organizational matrix to allocate related costs across the organization. You will be setting, deploying and controlling the strategic direction of the business by identifying regional business development opportunities across the North American Region - Mexico and Canada. Your main focus is to enhance the KSB installed base via direct sales to key accounts and OEMs, along with developing sales channels and e-sales, in close collaboration with other business leaders responsible for the municipal market, SupremeServ and engineered business (project business).RESPONSIBILITIES :Develop business plans to outline business goals and financial targets, ensuring implementation aligns with corporate objectives.Craft appropriate strategies and ensure regular reviews with direct reports.Define, manage and report the P&L for the PCC business of KSB USA according to KSB business Plans (Climb21, Grip21+ and Strategy 2030+).Responsible for attaining financial objectives within the defined scope of COI, sales, and contribution margin.Oversees and guides EBIT outcomes in accordance with the organizational structure of the KSB AMN matrix.Pilot the launch of the KSB USA PCC "Center of Gravity" commercial office in the Houston, Texas area.Lead the internal collaboration with the PCC marketing manager to formulate and execute the Marcomm strategy for the PCC market in the USA, with strategic expansion into Mexico and Canada.Direct the e-sales, IT and applications teams to collaborate with the PCC market area to develop, implement and roll out selection sales tools supporting the standard business growth across the region.Supervise, direct and manage other sales managers with direct responsibility in the PCC market area in the US.Collaborate and influence the PCC business growth in Mexico and Canada.Together with other market area VPs and Directors, spearhead the formation of a network of manufacturer’s representatives aimed at boosting indirect sales for the PCC market area.Offer impactful leadership across all sales and operational facets by establishing appropriate levels of oversight, adherence, administration and surveillance to fulfill approved obligations.Ensure optimal and efficient planning by utilizing all resources to enhance productivity.Determine the organization and talent needed to build the PCC standard business team in the KSB North American Region by leading the recruiting, onboarding and development of this team.Identify key training and development needs of employees with the ability to spot talent and nurture the development of high-potential employees.Foresee action to improve poor performers or replace them after a period of evaluation.Identify, develop and secure opportunities to increase the value proposition and competitiveness of KSB North America by utilizing new revenue generation applications, products (e.g., valves), clients and sales strategies.Develop, maintain and leverage business relationships within the KSB Global Group to foster the growth of KSB North American Market.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering AND a minimum of 7 years of related experience in the Industrial Pump Market along with at least five years of commercial customer-facing experience in the related market.COMPETENCIES :Strategic thinking - Generate and apply unique business insights and opportunities intended to create a competitive advantage for a firm or organization.Remote supervision - Develop, maintain and grow successful business relationships with remote teams and supervisors.Matrix management - Develop relationships, trust, empathy and emotional awareness to influence and lead successfully stakeholders involved in the successful performance of the business.Time management - Manage one’s own time along with the time required from others for project work in all aspects of the daily business while achieving strategic objectives.Communication skills - Talk to others to convey information effectively one-on-one and in group presentations.Comprehension - Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.Computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and CRM.Collaboration - Use a team-oriented approach to sales activity, problem-solving and knowledge sharing.Active Learning - Seek and acquire relevant knowledge for the successful performance of the territory autonomously by understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Social Perceptiveness - Be aware of others’ reactions and interpretations of an appropriate response.Deductive Reasoning - Be able to apply general rules to specific problems producing reasonable answers.Mechanical Aptitude - Understand and read mechanical design drawings and specifications.
