This position is per diem with variable hours.The Endoscopy Technician, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists the physician in the endoscopic examination and treatment of patients. He/she is expected to adhere to SGNA standards and demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instruments, and procedures pertinent to the Endoscopy Unit. The Gastroenterology Technician must have a sense of responsibility and a willingness to meet the required time assignments and workload.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Education:

BLS certification, CNA Certification, State of MaineExperience:

N/ACompetent organizational/interpersonal skills.Competent clinical/technical skills.Gastroenterology Technicians are strongly encouraged to complete the GI Associates Skill Validation test and achieve the title GI Technical Specialist.
