In a connected and exciting era, our mission has never been more relevant.As a Linux squad DevOps Engineer, you will be joining a dynamic team of IT professionals who set out to deliver and operate secure infrastructure for our internal customers.Building on our ambition to deliver our Platform Services applying agile practices, we are looking for somebody who brings a strong customer focus, a desire to understand the customer needs, and help address their challenges. If you are interested in all aspects of the IT services delivery process (architecture, design, implementation, testing, operations and support) you could be our ideal candidate.What To ExpectWork with the Product Owner and Squad members to test, configure, build and maintain on-prem RHEL platform automation in line with agreed requirements.Work with your team to implement and operate your solutions.Drive and lead solutions from conceptualization to realization, i.e. Design, Development, Test/Qualify, Deploy and Support / Maintain.Deploy infrastructure and software according to our change management processes.Implement custom OS security profiles.Provide L2 operational support for RHEL infrastructure components.Collaborate with our internal and external customers following DevOps/Agile principles and best practices.Follow-up and document our services (systems/applications/procedures) as they evolve.Interact and collaborate with other internal teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.Handle issues always focusing on continuous improvement.Automate, educate and share knowledge transparently.Be working in an office-first hybrid work model.What will make you successful?Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.2-5 years of experience in building and supporting RHEL platform running on both virtual machines for a large Enterprise.Strong IT knowledge on Linux platforms including RHEL– Proficiency with OS commands, disk volumes, kernel knowledge.Strong knowledge of RHEL System Administration, deployment of OS and Application via automation tools like Ansible.Perform regular maintenance and upgrade activities using Ansible Tower and Red Hat Satellite.Experience in writing shell scripts, Ansible playbooks for System Admin tasks.Experience in configuration management Orchestration especially Ansible, Jenkins.Experience on CI/CD build and deploy tools (GIT/Bitbucket).Experience in VMware operations like templates, snapshot, managing/building new VMs.Working Knowledge of infrastructure automation and orchestration tools like vRA / vRO.Good knowledge of Networking and TCP/IP.ITI Automation mindset.Adaptability and responsiveness to change.Take accountability for delivering results.Strong communication skills.Agile mindset and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Willing to perform occasional weekend work.Willing to take on-call rotation if needed.Quality orientated.Team orientated.Open communication.Process and Change management principles.The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is 74,830.00 USD Annual MINIMUM to 138,970.00 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
