YesAbout the Department:The Donald G. Costello College of Business at George Mason University is one of the largest business schools in Virginia, located near Washington, D.C. The college's AACSB-accredited business and accounting curricula prepare undergraduate and graduate students for career success in business and government.About the Position:The Assistant Director for Graduate Programs is primarily responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of graduate programs including student services, event planning, program logistics, and being a liaison with the faculty. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Specialized Master's Programs and collaborates with Academic Directors to fulfill the needs of the programs and students.Responsibilities:Student Liaison and Advising:Serves as the main point of contact for students in the assigned graduate programs regarding academic advising.Manages student listservs and Salesforce campaigns.Organizes and runs modular cohort representative meetings.Monitors students' degree progression and communicates registration requirements.Serves as staff advisor to student groups and organizations.Program Operations:Manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned graduate programs.Coordinates and runs mid-module cohort representative meetings.Provides input on budget planning and execution.Develops and enhances processes for program efficiency.Assists other graduate programs as needed.Procurement:Manages program vendors and processes purchases for programs.Event Planning and Support:Manages event planning for program events.Ensures all events are properly planned and communicated.Supports recruitment events for assigned graduate programs.Recruitment Support and Enrollment Planning:Schedules and arranges prospective student class visits.Strategic Planning and Development:Contributes to strategy development and implementation for the assigned graduate programs.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated work experience in a related professional setting.Strong customer service orientation.Ability to manage budgets.Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.Ability to develop productive working relationships.Familiarity with a university environment.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in related field.Expertise working with graduate-level students and online programs.Experience in a graduate program setting.Understanding of the goals of the Costello College of Business graduate programs.Instructions to Applicants:For full consideration, applicants must apply for
