Join our growing team and apply today!Your Key ResponsibilitiesDO: Project DeliveryServe as Sr. Project Manager or Deputy Program Manager for water infrastructure projects including pumping stations, conveyance, wastewater treatment, and water treatment with responsibility for reviewing and sealing of projects.Provide leadership for project development and client relationship management in the Greater Atlanta region and other parts of the Mid-Atlantic, country, and world, performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute, and deliver the completed project.Support Stantec’s Atlanta Program Manager and team in delivery of our program delivery services as needed.Support Stantec’s Public Policy leader and team in client interface and relationship development activities.Plan, organize, and manage the production of project deliverables to ensure on-time delivery, technical quality, and within budget.Prepare technical evidenced proposals as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors, or reviewing agencies.Execute multiple concurrent projects efficiently.Effectively apply industry standards as well as client standards and requirements.Work with project teams to coordinate permits for projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, utility companies, and reviewing and permitting governmental agencies.BUILD: Supervise and Mentor Young ProfessionalsMentor developing professionals to guide their career development objectives.Review team’s work and provide technical guidance on design approach and challenges.Perform on technically complex projects and act as a technical and strategy resource by providing guidance to other team members.Provide support to the Public Policy lead, Business Center Practice Leaders, and Regional Business Leaders to further the growth of Stantec’s Greater Atlanta, GA, East Coast, and larger Mid-Atlantic business.Conduct work in a safe manner and promote health and safety within the office and outside of the office while visiting clients and job sites.WIN: Support Business Development ActivitiesAssist the Public Policy Leader, Business Center Practice Leader, and other Client Account Managers with developing new work. Lead and assist with proposals and with preparing the technical approaches and strategy for project interviews conducted by clients.Develop positive relationships with clients in the Greater Atlanta, and other areas as needed, earn their confidence, and become their trusted advisor.Participate in local and national professional associations and organization events aligned with Stantec’s growth strategy.QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsCollaborative team player capable of building relationships both internally and externally.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Proven ability to build consensus and cooperation with staff at all skill levels.Skilled at inspiring, motivating, and holding team accountable for delivery for innovative designs.Experienced in civil engineering including water resources, water and wastewater utility business.Experienced in client service management, interfacing with executive and governing body membership, and communication of engineering issues, concepts, and strategies to identify critical client issues and needs.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution.Master of Science in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution preferred.Licensed Professional Engineer, preferably licensed in Georgia or the combination of education and experience to qualify for licensure within one year of hire.Minimum of 10 years of experience in water infrastructure project leadership and delivery roles.Must have a good driving record and valid driver's license.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
