Assistant Project Manager
to start immediately in our Glendale, AZ office. The position will be responsible for managing heavy site/civil, process systems, remediation, and/or water treatment/wastewater construction, including project estimating, project set-up, daily project management, and project closeout.QUALIFICATIONS:Construction Experience – 5 years required; field experience a must in the areas of heavy site/civil, process systems, remediation, water treatment/wastewater construction.Position is based out of Glendale, AZ, and will support projects in AZ and surrounding states. Travel work in the field as well as work in the office is required. This is not a flexible/work from home position because of the importance of interaction with the senior team members as well as field teams.Valid driver’s license – required and in good standing.Willingness to be in the field and apply “hands on” learning experience from previous employment and ability to learn new skills.Must provide references verifying experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Position requires a very motivated individual that is not afraid to do field work and learn with their hands rather than watching/oversight.Position requires entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic as well as very good communication/listening skills and teamwork.Will work directly for Senior team members in AZ as well as TX and NJ when in the office to provide support on project estimating, project set-up, project management, and project closeout.Will manage individual projects and work directly with clients and superintendents.Excellent writing skills are necessary for this position. Technical writing samples must be provided during the interview process for assessment.Other responsibilities include preparation of submittals, schedules, project bids, project estimates, daily logs, procurement, subcontractor management, and support to project superintendents.Goal for this position is to grow into a solid project managerial role that is both technically competent and understands the trials/tribulations of construction/field work.Travel is required to surrounding states.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Required bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably civil or mechanical, or Construction Management; other bachelor’s degrees may be considered if the candidate has the required construction experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in preferably civil or mechanical projects and field experience is required. Experience will be verified.Any experience with Operation & Maintenance (O&M) of remediation, wastewater, or process systems would separate the candidate from others being considered.Any AZ wastewater operator license or other license such as Professional Engineer (PE), while not necessary, is something we consider a ‘differentiator’ when evaluating candidates.TYPICAL HOURS/ SCHEDULE:Office schedule 8am – 5pm, Monday thru Friday; Field schedule 7am – 4pm, Monday thru Friday.PAY:
