Software Engineer
to join our FAA Air Traffic Organization support team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, responsible for software design, development, maintenance, testing, and interface of software with computer hardware systems.Requirements
The Software Engineer will have the knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or technical experience in all or some of the following areas:Software engineering, development, integration, test (development, system, user acceptance and operational) and deploymentC/C++, Java, or similar object-oriented language, Java Messaging Service (JMS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)RedHat/CentOS or similar Linux Operating SystemsAgile Software Development and developing and managing software source code with Subversion, Git or other configuration management toolsEnterprise Service Bus: WebLogic, ActiveMQ, Solace, etc.Message Exchange PatternsSupporting large databases (design, upgrade maintenance and patching), such as Oracle or MongoArtificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Automation TechnologiesContainerization, such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.Familiarity with Standards, Style and Guidelines (SSG) best practicesVirtual environments / VMWare / Cloud ServicesExperience in FAA/NAS Systems is a plusExperience with Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) 28/56 Day update schedule is a plusExcellent documentation and verbal and written communication skills are required.Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or other related discipline, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required.This position may require some travel (approx. 10-15%).SEMCON offers a competitive salary and complete benefits package which includes health benefits (medical, dental, vision and life), 401K with a generous employer match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
