Latest 16 inch Macbook ProThis role will be a Full Stack Engineer who reports directly to the CTO. You will be working on the Apps team, helping build the app store of the internet.What does the role look like?This role is an incredibly fun and hands-on role where you will be rapidly building production web applications (also known as apps). These apps will be listed directly on the Whop App Store, which we will offer to our sellers to install as native Whop apps.Your role will include taking app ideas and putting them in production. You will work closely with our design and product team to provide feedback on the app designs, ensuring they are a seamless build. Once the designs are ready to ship, it is your responsibility to scope out the project, communicate your architecture to the engineering team, and build the app. High quality code is a requirement, not a suggestion. We expect you to follow React and TypeScript best practices, while ensuring your code is well tested and well documented. Attention to detail is also a must as you will be executing high caliber designs.In addition to building, you will help contribute to both our internal and external documentation. We expect you to be a great writer, and an even better storyteller. While you build your apps, you will contribute to writing in our docs. This will ensure the process is always improving for both internal and external developers.Your first 90 days will look like the following:Within 30 days, you will build your first two apps, which might involve: (1) launching a paid newsletter or (2) implementing a payment gate for your Slack server. You will build these apps inside our apps monorepo and receive feedback from other engineers. By the end of the 30 days, you will have two apps in production with real users.Within 60 days, you will have made several contributions to our public apps documentation such as an elaborate “how-to” guide on how to build a real app. You will also build another app, such as: acquire another company on Whop.Within 90 days, you will also be contributing to our internal SDKs by making helper functions that make DevEx easier. You will be maintaining and enhancing existing apps, even ones you didn’t originally build.
