In partnership with leaders in the org and across orgs, you will work to establish and govern the practical and philosophical engineering best practices for all Engineers in the Digital Technology organization. Your front-end ecommerce focus will provide technology guidance & mentorship and serve as a subject matter expert for primary business and technology stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Standards and Compliance:Create and document philosophies and best practices for Integration, Delivery, and Environment engineering pillars.Establish and communicate guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency in development processes.Influence and enforce adherence to standards to support system maturity and reliability.Guide application engineers in multiple global time zones to support our systems effectively.Partnership & LeadershipCollaborate with Principal Architects, Technology Directors, and Divisional Executives.Define and describe the future state engineering vision and maturity roadmap.Lead a Community of Practice focused on front-end engineering.Drive associated education efforts to foster continuous learning and improvement.User And Developer ExperienceEnsure a premium ecommerce experience for our guests to match the quality of our product by monitoring site errors, performance indicators, browser accessibility and browser compatibility.Ensure the delivery of reliable, sustainable, and secure services through tooling and platforms to support developer productivity.Guide on application architecture, data structures and request life cycles.Industry Trends And RecommendationsResearch and influence industry trends and practices in front-end engineering.Present recommendations based on findings to influence decision-making with business value and financial investment year on year.QualificationsCompleted Bachelor's degree or diploma (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Software Architecture preferred; candidates with substantial and relevant industry experience are also eligible.12+ years of engineering experience.3+ years in a senior leadership position like Principal Engineer, or relevant SME experience.In-depth knowledge of front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.Role model and champion modern ways-of-working such as Agile, DevOps and related practices, actively participate in an engineering community.Strong communication and “storytelling” skills - ability to articulate a vision or concept in simple terms to a broad audience at every level.Must havesAcknowledges the presence of choice in every moment and takes personal responsibility for their life.Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results.Communicates with honesty and kindness and creates the space for others to do the same.Leads with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.Fosters connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.Integrates fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn't take themselves too seriously.Additional NotesImmigration support is potentially available for this role.Compensation and Benefits Packagelululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
