The Director Product Management for Store Experience is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the strategy and roadmap planning for the Store capabilities that support our Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom Local stores. A successful candidate for this role must have a strong background in Store Technology and Tools, Fulfill from Store, Store Device Management, and experience in supporting store employees and customer experience in these areas. The Director of Product Management must have a strong analytical and data-driven mindset and a relentless focus on the outcomes we are driving towards. This person should have a high bar for performance and a drive to win. The Director of Product Management will be responsible for building and supporting a team of Product Managers and Sr. Managers in this area.Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.A day in the life…Advanced Capability with the following competencies, requiring minimal management support:Develops roadmap strategy, vision, business benefits, and prioritization of goals for the websites, apps, and other channel initiatives to create a world-class Store Experience for our customers and employees.Ensures alignment on priorities and direction by partnering with other groups, stakeholders, and leaders.Partners with UX, Research, Operations, Process and Engineering on feature design.Drives ownership of features and services throughout the product lifecycle for our cross-channel customer experiences.Collaborates with peers and leaders across the enterprise to solicit needs, define vision and ensure outcomes align with enterprise priorities and goals.Hires and supervises a high performance and effective team that meets the needs of the product management strategies.Partners with technology teams to deliver key features and functionality that enhance the customer experience across Nordstrom channels.Monitors & identifies customer needs staying current on industry standards/trends and respond by adjusting user experience and product roadmaps.Maintains a strong understanding of available technologies and apply technology solutions, where appropriate, to improve efficiency and ultimately benefit the customer.You own this if you have…10+ years’ experience or equivalent with 5+ years of management experience required, specifically in product management with technology or ecommerce company preferred.Background and understanding of Retail Technology including Store Operations, Workforce Management, Devices (scanners, printers etc.), Pickup/Delivery Scheduling.Proven track record of building and launching products/tools at scale to provide operational efficiency for employees in stores.Bachelors’ degree in math, statistics, finance, economics, industrial engineering, or related quantitative discipline is preferred.Ability to inspire others, including demonstrated experience managing and leading strong teams.Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.Technical background and understanding of software development principles and a/b testing.Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Analytics, Engineering and User Experience.Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.We’ve got you covered…Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.Washington: $182,000 - $300,500 Annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
