Job Summary:The person hired for the position of Neogen Food Safety Sales Director will be responsible for managing and leading direct reports to drive growth and execute on business priorities.
Primary Responsibilities:Deliver on Neogen Food Safety financial growth expectations.Provide direction, coaching, onboarding, and development with the assigned Food Safety field-based sales team.Conduct business planning to drive growth with direct, indirect (channel), strategic accounts, and focused market segments.Develop sales strategies and adjust to meet changing market and competitive conditions for complex product lines.Manage the team to operational excellence and productivity, related to time and territory management, SFDC, managing pipeline, travel budget, and monthly 1:1s.Work with cross-functional business disciplines to leverage resources, provide input for product development, and marketing program development and proposals for ways to improve effectiveness.Develop long-lasting business relationships with key customers.Requires approximately 50-60% travel.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.Minimum of three years of sales or people management experience and proven track record of meeting/exceeding forecast attainment.Strong business acumen. Demonstrate ability to analyze and execute on sales data, SFDC data, and other performance metrics and tools.Attention to detail and critical thinking.Ability to motivate the sales team.Driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous sales management experience.Food Safety Industry experience.Experience with 'Solution Selling' methodologies.Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software programs.

May include up to 50% overnight travel.
