The Sr. Marketing Manager, Samsung Wallet role within the Product Marketing Team is tasked with defining, designing, and delivering successful GTM plans in support of the Samsung Wallet product offering.
Samsung Wallet lets you carry your essentials in a single app — payment cards, ID, home and car keys, movie tickets, and more. Make payments, open doors, and gain access by tapping your device. As a vital cross-functional team member, your impact will be felt across the business, driving increased awareness, user growth, engagement, and revenue for Samsung Wallet. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for delivering on these objectives through integrated storytelling with Samsung Galaxy hardware campaigns, along with stand-alone marketing efforts.Role and ResponsibilitiesLead the learning agenda for the assigned product line in collaboration with the Consumer & Shopper Insight Teams (CSMI) and Product Management.Design the Go to Market Strategy, lead its internal alignment within both SEA and HQ stakeholders, define and own the Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM).Lead the foundational elements of the communication strategy from 1) translation of the target consumer into addressable audiences, communities and opportunity segments 2) Leading the preparation of the messaging strategies and toolkits.Design and activate against an Integrated Marketing Communication plan spanning from ATL to Retail with direct oversight of Paid and Owned marketing channels.Lead and coordinate the Samsung Electronics of America (SEA) Integrated Marketing Teams as well as lead the inter-agencies partners assigned in support.Coordinate and engage support from within the Mobile Marketing Organization. Provide the guidance required for the production and activation of tactics across multiple channels including Digital, Social, CRM, Radio, OOH, e-Commerce, Partnerships, Influencers, Brand Experience, and PR.Ensure all marketing support delivers against aligned objectives, goals, strategies and KPI measurements.Review and approve all communications assets, advertising, promotional materials, public relations announcements, press releases.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training preferred.8+ years of experience in brand/digital marketing roles, with time leading marketing for a consumer app/service strongly preferred.If no BS degree, candidate would need 10+ years of experience – noted above.Understanding of product marketing, marketing, and promotional strategy.Experience working with data analysts to measure, analyze, and report the impact of marketing initiatives, including brand lift, user/subscriber acquisition, and engagement.Experience partnering closely with Product, UX, and Research teams to understand the needs of a target segment and develop product and marketing plans to meet those needs.Proficient in Marketing Mix fundamentals as well as how to best leverage the optimal media mix to achieve set objectives.Solid background in CRM strongly preferred.Excellent communicator, able to clearly articulate strategic plans, provide timely updates to execs, and ensure alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.Ability to work independently, efficiently, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks and meet deadlines.Preferred QualificationsAbility to lead within a very large and matrixed organization.Quick thinker, able to make connections within various elements of marketing plans, ever changing market dynamics and business performance.Strong ability to adapt to change and provide confident direction in a very fast-paced environment.Understanding of media performance by channel and ability to provide clear objectives and success measures linked to the overall business objectives.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:Work is regularly performed in an office environment.Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display for prolonged periods.The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions.
