About the Role

Currently looking for an experienced Release Engineer to join the IT Software development team. This individual will have the opportunity to coordinate our Release Management and work closely with the Infrastructure & Software Development Towers. The individual will be responsible for timely software releases by coordinating development, testing, reporting on Release status and version control with the goal of delivering high quality software. The individual will also participate in the designing, coding and testing of the infrastructure automation and application deployment.What You Will Do

Coordinate the Release activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklist procedures.Plan and perform dependency analysis for both major and maintenance release cycles.Identify risks, cross application dependencies and downstream impacts per release.Establish and communicate master release schedule.Implement efficient procedures for the distribution and implementation of IT changes into production.Designing, coding, and testing related to infrastructure automation and application deployment.Engage with Information Security, systems team and augment the CI/CD framework with DevSecOps and standardized security tools and controls.Perform analysis of DevOps practices, identify gaps and impediments for continuous integration and delivery.Monitor scope and schedule of releases. Prepare and communicate release implementation scorecard and release statuses.Consolidate and publish Release Notes for each deployment.Ensure compliance with IT processes including proper documentation, reviews and approvals of related changes.What You Bring

BS degree in computer science, technology, data analytics, informatics or equivalent.Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.Minimum of 6 years Release Management experience.Working knowledge of SDLC methodologies.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective oral and written communications.Technical skills including SQL, build process tools (GIT), Visual Studio, .NET (C#).Working knowledge of Continuous integration (CI) / continuous delivery (CD), DevOps methodologies.2-3 years hands-on experience in at least two modern DevOps/IAC technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Cloud Formation and Terraform.Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and detail-oriented.Exhibit knowledge of Jira or other equivalent task, release management tools.
