Engineer IT Release

YOUR MISSION
Create, implement and enforce deployment guides, run books and implementation plans as necessary to support development release cycles.Act as a gatekeeper to the production environments, ensuring that documented policies, procedures and Change Management are followed.Forward Plan the release windows, cycles and schedules across the project and program portfolio, minimizing the impact of production releases on other projects.Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go / no-go reviews.Evaluate code for adherence to development standards, security protocols and performance benchmarks.Ensure that current release process supports audit requirements, providing documentation or other relevant data regarding software release procedures as requested by auditors.Collaborate with Development teams to automate the release of new code using CI/CD Pipelines.Collaborate with QA teams to build a test scenario catalog as well as automate and track the results of test scenario execution.Continually evaluate the latest trends and technologies in software testing and automation, identify and implement improvements to current processes.YOUR TALENT
College degree in Computer Science or a related field or 5-10 years of experience working in the IT field.2 - 4 years previous experience as a Release Engineer.Experience implementing CI/CD release pipelines and continuous testing using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps or Jira.Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle, as well as understanding of DevOps tools, technologies, and techniques.Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, ETL concepts, SSIS and Dell BOOMI ETL tools, SFTP/HTTP, APIs, Message Queues, and database architecture.Knowledge of systems, security and networking as it relates to and impacts the development environment.Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams to task completion.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining creativity, attention to detail, oral and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
