Whether partnering with Engineering, Design, Marketing, or Sales, the Product team is committed to taking an experiment-oriented approach to guarantee that data drives decisions.About the job:Upside has over 27,000 merchants on the platform spanning gas stations, convenience stores, restaurants, and grocery stores! Having solidified our position in the fuel industry, we’re looking to take our fuel products to the next level. Upside is in search of a Product Manager to increase merchant retention and satisfaction through products and features that foster trust, educate, and prove the value that we deliver.What you’ll do:Lead a cross-functional team of partners to set a product vision, define a roadmap, build and deliver products to 25,000+ merchants.Deeply understand the merchant needs by collaborating with our sales and account teams as well as with merchants directly.Level up the merchant experience through new tools and products to optimize satisfaction and retention.Work directly with our top merchants to understand how to improve our product and deliver additional value.Identify and lead new merchant and data integrations which can propel our product forward.More specifically, you’ll:Partner with sales and accounts to drive adoption of Upside.Understand the market and competitive landscape to shape Upside's product path.Optimize the way we educate merchants on how the platform works and how we prioritize their success.Own the end-to-end product experience for merchants, from sales to sign-up to launch.Segment merchants to deliver the right products to the right merchants (e.g., SMB, mid-tier, high-end brands), including building the next versions of our merchant dashboard.Partner with Finance and Operations to ensure our billing process is accurate, seamless, and scalable.Collaborate with a dedicated engineering team to expand our merchant-focused features.Internalize and understand Upside's mission and strategies and apply them to the restaurant vertical.Partner with sales and accounts to drive adoption of Upside within restaurants.What you need:3+ years of technical product management experience.BA/BS degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.Experience building B2B products in retail or ecommerce.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.Strong user empathy, with an ability to transform complex data and customer insights into product vision and a prioritized roadmap.Experience working in a metrics and experimentation-driven organization.Experience partnering with cross-functional teams across engineering, data science, design, sales, marketing, and operations to deliver extraordinary products.Exceptional communication skills, both within your team, with leadership, and stakeholders.The fine print:Upside employees are currently working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
