is Farmington, CT . Compensation package includes base salary, bonus, 401k match,

in a dynamic, bureaucracy-free environment .Key Responsibilities:

Drive safety into all aspects of global production, by identifying and mitigating any safety-related risks in the manufacturing operation in partnership with the Director, EHS.Lead, coach and mentor 5 value stream managers to design an operation that focuses on creating value for our customers and reducing waste.Establish metrics to determine performance standards, manpower requirements, production capacities and future cost improvement opportunities across all manufacturing locations. Specifically, the Director will share “best practices” between manufacturing plants, implement consistent quality and processes, coordinate introduction of new technology and equipment into production on time, and improve handoff of new products from development to production.Drive manufacturing improvements through Six Sigma efforts within operations and substantially improve yields to meet targeted goals.Act as a resource to Research & Development by participating in cross-functional activities and teams which include communicating manufacturing concerns related to existing or new material production.Major Challenges:

High mix/low to medium volume product base.Complex manufacturing processes that are required to deliver highly technical and precise products.Continuous stream of new products introduced into manufacturing annually in an abbreviated timeframe.Lack of unification across global facilities.Expected Performance Outcomes:

98% order fulfillment as measured by shipping high quality, defect free products to customers when they need them.Build a continuous improvement mindset within operations, focused on waste reduction, speed and agility. Success will be measured by scrap reduction and margin improvement.Partner with the EHS director to create a safe working environment measured by 0 OSHA recordable incidents within operations.Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management or Engineering. MBA Preferred.10-15 years of progressive experience in operations leadership.5+ years of leadership at a director level.Proven experience in creating and leading a lean culture.Six Sigma blackbelt preferred.Technical Knowledge/Skills:

Expert in lean manufacturing concepts and tools.Proficient in the use of PowerBI for data manipulation and analysis.Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accumulation and variance reporting.Experience must include leading engineering, production, quality assurance and equipment procurement activities and demonstrated leadership experience including managing, motivating, and developing highly effective global teams in these areas.
