Senior Cost Accountant

What will you own?Support the Finance and Accounting team with our inventory and operational reporting requirementsResponsible for monthly analysis of the activity of all cost accounts, including warranty reserve and excess inventory reserve requirements.Provide operations management with regular metric reporting, including analysis of production efficiency and variances to drive operational performance across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chainManagement of costing related master data such as BOMs, routings, and the creation of new SKUs with the support of supply chain, engineering, and operationsSupport the recost processes to establish labor and machine overhead rates, and material costs while providing monthly reporting to ensure accurate product costs and inventory valuationSupport periodic physical inventory counts at primary and third-party facilitiesMonitor, measure and refine KPIs, metrics and operational performanceIdentify and execute ERP system improvement projects related to costing, variances, and inventorySupport quarterly review and annual audit procedures performed with internal & external auditorsWhat you have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferable3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a cost accounting environment is a plusSelf-motivated to get to the bottom of problems and propose solutionsEffective at discussing complex topics with an unfamiliar audienceStrong Excel skillsDemonstrated ability to learn complex accounting topics and ability to think criticallyStrong attention to detail, well-organized, solution-orientedExperience with Sage is a plusExposure to contract manufacturing relationships and workflows is a plusWhy Markforged?Help us reinvent manufacturing.
