Workers’ Compensation Attorney

on behalf of a well-established workers’ compensation and personal injury law firm in

Chicago, IL!

This is an exciting onsite position offering a full-time work schedule and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to our client’s success!PERKS:Permanent hire opportunity!Full time, Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm!Full comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and more!Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of injured workers!Salary ranges from $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience!RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage a high-volume workers’ compensation caseload.Assist the injured worker with benefits, including obtaining appropriate medical care.Negotiate settlements on behalf of the claimant.Represent the interests of the claimant at hearings, trials, and other proceedings.Gather evidence to formulate defense, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending lawsuit.Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.Present evidence to represent clients in civil litigation.Pick jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during a trial.Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.QUALIFICATIONS:Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Illinois.1-3 years of Worker’s Compensation Litigation and negotiation or related experience.Excellent oral and written communication.Bilingual (Spanish/English Proficiency) is a plus.Strong research and analytical skills.Exceptionally organized with the ability to manage large caseloads.COMPENSATION:This opportunity offers a salary of

$95,000 to $115,000
