Position Summary:The Analyst will work closely with other investment professionals and will play an integral role in evaluating new investment opportunities through market research and analysis, financial modeling and asset valuation. In addition, the Analyst will support asset management and portfolio management strategies for existing and new investments. The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of commercial real estate investment strategies in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Essential Functions:Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of new CRE related investment opportunitiesStructure/Build detailed financial models and asset valuation tools to support investment decisionsForecast operating performance, financial projections and business plan scenarios for deal-specific underwritingProvide support to asset management initiatives by conducting financial analysis and developing and executing business plansAssist in the preparation of asset-level recommendations for senior managementPrepare strategic plans for assigned properties and contribute to overall portfolio plansBuild and maintain property valuation models using Excel and ARGUSProduce asset-level reporting on a periodic basisAssist in the engagement and direction of third-party property managers in development and implementation of operating budgets including capital and leasing plansPrepare regular update reports on asset performance for senior managementAssist with ad hoc strategic projectsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilityAdvanced cash flow and investment modeling skills (Excel and Argus)High attention to detail and accountability in analytical assessmentsDemonstrated ability to interpret data and draw conclusionsExcellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills and the ability to interact professionally within a diverse groupHard-working and committed to producing great end resultsAbility to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment with many competing prioritiesPositive attitude with the ability to manage change effectivelyDemonstrate ability to prioritize work and manage time in a deadline-driven environmentIs a self-starter and proactive, with the ability to multi-taskAbility to work autonomously and as a member of a teamWillingness to learnIs organized and process orientedStrong business judgment and decision makingDemonstrate a high level of professionalism that appropriately represents the organizationHarbors an intellectual curiosity around the businessEducation:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution requiredDegree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related area preferredExperience:1-3 years of direct commercial real estate industry, investment banking, or finance experience required (title will be commensurate to experience level)Prior knowledge of acquisition due diligence and asset management processes is strongly preferredOther Skills:Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite)Advanced Excel knowledge, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, etc.Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environmentThis position’s hours vary depending on business activityThis position does not require frequent travel, less than 10%.
