Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on GISProficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualizationStrong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databasesExperience with FME for spatial data integration and transformationKnowledge of and experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detailEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentResponsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping data-driven strategies for our client's organizationThis role will be three days a week hybrid out of our client's Downtown Atlanta locationUtilize your expertise in GIS to analyze and interpret spatial data, providing valuable insights for decision-making processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable recommendationsDevelop and implement Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and visualizationWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sourcesUtilize FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) to integrate and transform geospatial data across different formatsManage and maintain relational database management systems (RDBMS) to ensure data accuracy and accessibilityCollaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data visualizations, maps, and reports to effectively communicate findingsStay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to GIS and data analysis
