A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking a Junior-Mid Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney with strong writing skills, interpersonal skills, and an outstanding academic record. The ideal candidate will have focused experience in a national trademark practice and substantial litigation experience in intellectual property matters.
Duties:
Handle all facets of domestic and international trademark counseling.
Assist in trademark litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
Conduct legal research and analysis on trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secrets matters.
Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategies.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
Provide support on other IP litigation matters as needed.
Requirements:
2-4 years of focused experience in a national trademark practice.
Significant experience in trademark counseling and litigation.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Copyright litigation, Patent litigation, Trademark litigation, Trade secrets litigation.
Exceptional writing skills and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding academic record.
Admission to the Minnesota Bar, or eligibility for admission as soon as practicable.
Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:Admission to the Minnesota Bar, or eligibility for admission.
Skills:
Strong writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, and court filings.
Interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Legal research and analysis skills.
Litigation experience in intellectual property matters.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
