Senior Tax Accountant

An SEC registered investment adviser managing private investment funds exclusively for qualified investors.

Position Description:

This position requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a good working knowledge of basic and intermediate tax concepts, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. This person should be self-motivated and be able to take ownership of issues, exercise intellectual curiosity, and contribute to the overall success of the department. This person should be skilled in efficiently managing large volumes of work.

Specific Duties:

Prepare Federal and State partnership tax returns for the firm’s funds and management company.

Review tax workpapers (and tax returns/estimates, where applicable) prepared by third-party fund administrator(s) and/or outside accounting firms of the firm's funds.

Prepare Federal and State tax returns for firm’s portfolio manager (individual returns, gift tax returns, etc.) and his family office entities (family limited partnerships, family trusts, private foundation).

Prepare other Federal and State Tax Returns for firm-related entities. Types of returns include Partnerships (1065), C Corporations (1120), S Corporations (1120S), Foreign Corporations (1120F), US Withholding Tax Returns (1042/1042S), Exempt Organizations (990).

Prepare or review monthly/quarterly tax projections for the funds.

Prepare quarterly estimated tax projections for portfolio manager.

Conduct tax planning and research projects for the firm’s entities and management company.
