Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

will be a key member of a small corporate finance team. The position will report to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position will be primarily responsible for leading external financial reporting, providing technical accounting research, oversight of the corporate accounting close process, and various other special projects.Responsibilities Include:Review of corporate ledger accounting and close processPrepare SEC and other external financial reports including preparation of financial statement footnote schedules and validate for accuracyUtilize information within OneStream consolidation software tool to develop efficient and effective ways to gather consolidated information and analyses for financial statements and disclosuresCollaborate with the accounting, tax, and legal team to ensure compliance with all financial regulationsAssist in preparation and monitoring adherence for accounting policies (in accordance with US GAAP) and proceduresLead the implementation for newly required financial reports and disclosuresDrive best practices for quality internal and external reporting, supported by strong internal processes and controlsPerform technical accounting research and document conclusions as required in accounting position papers (i.e. impairment, pensions, debt transactions, acquisitions, etc.)Provide technical accounting support for divisional finance leads and other corporate functionsLead the implementation of new accounting standardsAssist with special projects and needs of executive management and divisionsRequirements:Requires a bachelor's degree (CPA preferred)Public accounting experience preferred8-15 years of experience in accountingExperience with and strong understanding of US GAAPExperience with Sarbanes Oxley and internal control conceptsSEC reporting experienceManufacturing and/or purchase accounting experience preferredTravel potential up to 15%Middleby Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EOE/M/F/Vets/Disabled) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
