The General Counsel’s Office of the Department of Revenue has an opportunity for a licensed attorney to represent the department in all elements of creditor bankruptcy practice. This position affords the opportunity for advancement and professional career development, and provides substantial training and mentorship. Opportunities for a flexible schedule are available. The Missouri Department of Revenue is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness qualifying employer.Duties Performed To Support The Department’s Vision
Independently manage a diverse bankruptcy caseloadNegotiate and resolve case mattersResearch issuesReview and file federal court pleadingsParticipate in hearingsProvide counsel to internal personnelCoordinate with bankruptcy attorneys and staffQualifications
Missouri Bar license in good standing or eligible to become a memberDesire and ability to learn bankruptcy lawAbility to exercise critical reasoning skillsAbility to effectively work and communicate with coworkers, attorneys, and the courtsAbility to work independentlyPreferred Qualification
Bankruptcy experience or demonstrated interest in bankruptcy or related fields of lawMore Reasons To Love This Position
