We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will integrate DevSecOps methodologies into an Agile software development environment, collaborating with other engineers to design, develop, and maintain a cohesive CI/CD pipeline. This role involves supporting the entire Software Development Lifecycle with an emphasis on build and release management via automation, promoting a culture of DevOps, and ensuring continuous technical and process improvements.Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
Collaborate with other engineers to plan, design, and develop the DevSecOps environment, including cohesive CI/CD pipelines.Support the entire Software Development Lifecycle, focusing on build and release management through automation.
System Maintenance and Support:
Maintain the deployed system, deploying updates and fixes as needed.Investigate and resolve technical and network issues.Provide technical support to end-users as necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze the DevOps environment continuously for technical and process improvements.Integrate security measures, implement faster updates, improve automation, and reduce software glitches and failures.
Team Collaboration:
Promote DevOps as a team culture, working collaboratively with diverse, geographically distributed teams.
Required Qualifications:
Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance, willing to sit for a CI Poly (TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred).Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.OR a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience with DevSecOps.Minimum of 4 years of experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.Minimum of 4 years of experience with agile teamwork and multi-site team collaboration.Minimum of 4 years of experience with RHEL and/or CentOS system and/or network administration.Minimum of 4 years of experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.Minimum of 4 years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Minimum of 4 years of experience with standard automated deployment tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.).
