It's about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and support their families, enabling nonprofits to maximize donor funds for better service, and assisting governments in improving services for residents.As a Business Development Representative (BDR) for Walmart Business' sales team, you'll be at the forefront of our rapidly expanding B2B sector. You will be pivotal in generating new business opportunities, connecting with potential customers, and initiating relationships to drive our business' growth. You will produce sales qualified leads by conducting outbound prospecting (cold calls, email, social) and inbound prospecting among Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs). This customer-facing role requires a mix of sales acumen and relationship-building skills to drive growth and excel in a fast-paced, "start-up" environment.Who You'll Work With

Work directly with Account Executives (AEs) to conduct sales outreach and discover customer needs, focusing on a specific sector and territory.Interact with Marketing to share feedback on the effectiveness of MQLs in generating sales-qualified leads (SQLs).Responsibilities

Prospecting and Lead Generation:Use intelligent prospecting persistence to identify, create, and qualify opportunities, and work with sales to ensure the opportunity is understood and the next steps are clearly defined.Research and identify high-potential prospects within target sectors, developing a robust pipeline of leads through cold calls, emails, and social media, meeting/exceeding quota and target activity metrics.Engage in conversations as the first point of contact with prospects to generate SQLs and hand warm SQLs to the AEs.Customer Engagement and Communication:Clearly articulate Walmart Business' value, understand customer pain points, and demonstrate how our solutions fit their needs.Develop a foundational understanding of customer profile, creating sufficient basis for the AE to continue discovery.Have a thorough understanding of assigned sector, B2B retail, and procurement, continually monitor competitor/industry development.Sales Process Optimization:Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce.com) and other sales tools to manage, track, and report lead activities and statuses.Help refine sales processes to enhance lead generation and qualification efficiency.Sales and Revenue Generation:Sign up smaller sites, helping AE to drive account revenue growth.Present offerings and value propositions to subsidiaries/sites associated with larger accounts, supporting AE.Your success will be measured by the achievement of individual and team activity metrics and opportunity creation goals.Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Relevant sales experience.Skills:Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies.Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.Adaptability:Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.Preferred Qualifications

Education and Experience:BA/BS degree.Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with B2B retail and procurement.Understanding of the competitive landscape and key players in B2B retail.Record of success in an outbound sales or prospecting role in B2B environments, preferably in a solution-sales / eCommerce-related environment.Demonstration of interest in developing a B2B sales career.
