Sr. Software/DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform ExperienceThe Cloud Platform Experience team is responsible for developing and operating our SS&C cloud portal, which provides teams the ability to self-service infrastructure (compute, network, storage) for their application needs. We have a variety of front-end, back-end, and operational work as we strive to provide full-service ownership for our applications and services.
You will be partnering with software and operations engineers to support a modern private cloud that can handle the requirements for a global company.

work from within the US.Responsibilities
Design, build and deploy services supporting our enterprise cloud platformMentor other software engineers around patterns and practices for highly available systemsIntegrate with CI/CD, Kubernetes, VMs, backend-services, and managed-service offeringsBuild and maintain observability dashboards to monitor overall health of the ecosystemBuild common components for reuse across the organization, maintaining documentation, demo applications, and reviewing pull requestsWork closely with our support team and user community to promote best practices for cloud adoptionMinimum Qualifications
Engineering degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience5+ years of development experience (Java, Go, Python or other languages)A solid foundation in object-oriented and cloud-native designExperience in writing HTTP services in higher-level languages (e.g., Java/Spring, Go)Experience with relational and document databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)Experience learning new open-source software, APIs, and frameworksExposure to automated testing, modern CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, TerraformFamiliar with bash, Git, JIRA, and agile methodologiesPreferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)Experience with container technologies and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)Experience with devops practices and observability toolsExperience working with and maintaining a community around open-source softwareExperience in performance analysis and tuning (application and database)Expertise in Java Spring Frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Security, etc.)Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g., load balancing, ACLs, DNS)Desire to evangelize Developer Culture and lead change within the organizationDesire to mentor junior developersSS&C offers excellent benefits including health, dental, 401k plan, tuition, and professional development reimbursement plan.
