Job Description

This is a Hybrid position within our DBTT Organization. The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to the innovation center to which they are assigned as their primary GM facility. This position requires an employee to be onsite 2-3 times per week.The Role:You will be responsible for leading/managing a team of highly talented individuals for developing GM mobile applications/software to develop leading edge mobile experiences for our EV and traditional cars. You will redefine our digital strategy through our mobile channel. This is a management role in which you will lead and manage a large, highly skilled development/support team. In addition to personnel management, this role will lead the team to handle issues reported by the customers in the field, work closely with global stakeholders, and work on new functional enhancements. This role focuses on ensuring high quality and availability of the product features and components as well as partnering with the Product Management and other stakeholders. The role includes collaboration across software/hardware/UX/product/LOB, the leadership team on organization wide initiatives, and working with external/internal sponsor users and customers during critical situations.What You'll Do:Lead a significant number of technical resources covering various aspects of GM Mobile Transformation teams.Collaborate closely with other peer teams globally.Will have Functional Management ownership of GM Mobile development, support, maintenance and regular fixes along with planned deliveries.Leverage development experience to lead development teams to create technology solutions that match the project's requirements.Recognize when troubleshooting is required. Help team leverage client team, practice, and discipline resources as necessary to resolve issues.Consistently lead the team to apply the right architecture solution based on project requirements.Learn how to effectively present information internally, in client meetings, in pitches, and at industry events.Show a broad understanding of multiple technologies and have the aptitude to learn new technologies.Leverage development experience to team to create technology solutions that match the project's requirements.Consistently identify the impact risks may have at the project and initiative level and can recommend and provide options for risk mitigation.Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):Proven people management skills and ability to provide technical guidance to a team of experienced professionals.Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.8+ years of relevant experience working on Enterprise Class Products; experience in dealing with products that involve system skills will be an added advantage.Experience in leading/managing a team of QA, development, and support engineers.Previous hands-on Development experience preferably with React Native, Android, and iOS expertise.Deep experience of development, architecture, design of end-to-end mobile solutions that includes mobile middleware, cloud services, and integration with enterprise or third-party systems.Experience leading complex mobile solutions that may have integrations with other IoT/Cognitive/Cloud/Web solutions.Proficiency in planning, tracking, and supervising outcome-oriented activities during the course of product development and support cycles.Additional Job Description
