Plante Moran Group Benefits Advisors II (PMGBA II), an affiliated entity of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM), provides consulting and brokerage services to help clients create cost-effective, sustainable employee health and welfare benefit plans, and attract and retain talent. Your work will include, but not be limited to:Account management for all group benefit plan sponsors including:ImplementationEmployee open enrollment and communicationsAssisting internal staff with report production/deliveryAssist/work with underwriting & analytics staff with data management and collection from carriers for use in employer plan analyticsAssist clients regarding carrier billings, premium statements, enrollment, eligibility, claim inquiry, etc.Maintain client relationship management/mailing listDistribute periodic bulletins, alerts, compliance information/notices/plan materials, etc. to clientsAssist with carrier reporting, commission payments, Schedule A 5500 reporting, etc.Support and participate in practice developmentAssist practice leadership in developing more efficient methods to support client plan managementThe Qualifications.

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required10+ years of experience in a group health insurance agency, health insurance company, third-party administrator, benefit consulting organization, or role within a human resources department administering employer benefit plans is preferredA general understanding of group insurance agent/broker, carrier, and/or third-party administrator, and stop-loss marketsWorking knowledge of the independent agent group benefit marketStrong communications skills – verbal and writtenProficiency in working with Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailQualified individuals must reside in or near the Auburn Hills, MI, Grand Rapids, MI, Cleveland, OH or Toledo, OH area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity. This position may require some local and inter-state travel.Our difference.
