is seeking a
Software Engineer in Norfolk, VA . The objective of this work is to analyze and study complex system requirements by utilizing research, discovery and development fundamentals. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reutilization, domain analysis, and implementation management. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, CASE tools, or other accepted design techniques. Estimates software development schedules, reviews existing programs through RDT&E, and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
This role is part of a proposal effort and will support helpdesk, application, database web development and maintenance support. These tasks are NAVWARDEVCEN in Norfolk, VA. The Contractor will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of databases, conducting data architecture to support Knowledge Management (KM), creating web portals, conducting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), Systems Analysis, supporting NAVWARDEVCEN’s Communications.
Minimum/General Experience
A minimum of eight (8) years experience, of which at least three (3) years must be specialized.Specialized experience includes: IT systems analysis and programming.Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction.Active Secret level clearance is required for this role.
Minimum Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or other closely related scientific or technical discipline. A Master’s degree in the fields described above is preferred.
