Join us in experiencing the exhilaration of collaborating with a dynamic team and contributing to a workplace where your voice is not just heard but valued and empowered.Purpose:As a Senior Principal Software Development Engineer, you will support service engineers and develop and maintain software for FormFactor Probe Systems. You will be the first contact person for questions about our machine software, addressing complex queries. Work closely with application engineers and marketing personnel to guide and refine software product requirements. Additionally, you will develop applications, algorithms, user interfaces, and user-friendly workflows for FormFactor Probe stations used in the semiconductor industry. You will also work directly with customers to develop special solutions to their requirements. The development of software will utilize both waterfall and rapid prototyping processes. Writing, integrating, and informally testing software are typical tasks, along with some international travel.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Service support.Support software development for all phases of the product lifecycle including requirements development, design, coding, and integration.Develop algorithms, workflows, and user interfaces.Utilize C, C++, and C# in Windows environments.Conduct documentation work.Provide technical training for FormFactor personnel.Software maintenance and support.Education, Experience, and Skills Required:Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a minimum of 3 years industry experience.Experience developing software applications for machines and equipment.Expertise in developing software in C, C++, and C# is required.Wafer level testing and/or general electronic test instrumentation experience is a plus.Physics background, especially in optics/pattern recognition/photometry, is strongly preferred.Deep knowledge of network communications and robot applications in the semiconductor industry is preferable.Skill with MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office tools is required.Good team and interpersonal skills.Beaverton, OR salary range: $115,800 - $152,000. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands.
