Everest Reinsurance is currently looking for an experienced Data Analyst, a new position within our Business Performance & Analytics team, to advance Everest’s data strategy. This is a multifaceted role that involves day-to-day work with data, development of data solutions to meet business needs, market research to identify new trends & opportunities, coordination of work with IT for data deliverables, and to support our data governance program.This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ working 3 days in office, 2 remote.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Identify, collect, analyze, summarize, and present data to address business challenges.Deliver recurring analytics and ad-hoc requests; this includes utilization of available data from various systems by data extraction, cleansing, and building reports and data models.Deliver insightful research through visualizations of findings (dashboards, scorecards, analytic reports…) to highlight trends and anomalies in data.Develop and implement sustainable solutions for ensuring high-quality data that support analytics and reporting.Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to centralize data and standardize it for use by business.Work closely with the Technology team to implement and maintain consistent data governance and data quality improvements.Assess and monitor quality of data from underlying systems, analyze issues, identify root causes, and drive changes to address them.Qualifications, Education & Experience:

BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other technical fields.3+ years of work experience in Data & Analytics area.Experience working with data and BI tools such as Informatica, Qlik, Collibra, Power BI etc. is a plus.Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.P&C insurance industry experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data, understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data glossary.Ability to meet deadlines with high-quality end-products in a fast-paced environment.Ability to think differently to find innovative solutions to problems.Our Culture:
