At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.The Manager, US Sales Compensation Process and Execution is responsible for collaborating with the US commercial team and GBS team to drive commission payout, process and execution driving standardization, checks and balances and alignment. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Compensation for Recon and Robotics.What will you be doing?Drive total alignment between commission strategy and execution for all US Orthopaedics sales commission payments both direct and indirect payments aligning with contracts and commission plans.Collaborate with team to drive standard processes and tick and tie monthly payments.Influence and drive RACI to drive out waste, decrease mistakes and increase efficiency and accuracy.Partner with internal stakeholders to develop accuracy reporting.Maintain and evolve all existing commission plan documents and develop new commission plan documents as needed; this includes comparing to the prior year prior season and identifying all deltas and working with the leadership team to drive final decisions.Partner with 1099 information and work with VP, Distribution to align standard process and payment within contract.Responsible for leading highly effective and efficient cross-functional stand-up meetings with the internal cross-functional team to drive accurate, complete and timely commission payouts to Sales Agents, Sales Managers and Senior Sales Managers.Serve as the primary liaison to the commission implementation team and provide detailed updates regarding commission changes to guide their implementation updates and changes.Location: US (Memphis, TN, field)What will you need to be successful?8 years demonstrated compensation leadership preferably in the orthopaedic commercial market or 5 plus years in sales compensation, plus proven management experience at the Manager level capacity.Creative problem solver with the ability to articulate financial and agent experience impacts.Robust analytical skills required to understand the impact of commission changes and review datasets for reasonableness and commission plan compliance.Ability to review data files for accuracy in comparison to variable commission plans by Position and Level.Ability to influence teams and matrix manage internal resources.Time management skills to adhere to strict deadlines.Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.Travel Requirements: up to 30%.You Unlimited.We believe in creating the greatest good for society.
