Accounting Analyst

If you’re an enthusiastic team player who thrives in an environment where communication, creativity, and cooperation are encouraged, this may just be the opportunity for you.The Accounting Analyst assists multiple accounting functions for the City Cruises US division, helps to ensure strong cash controls through reconciling balance sheet accounts, builds and executes AR processes, assists with Accounts Payable processes, and owns some month-end close responsibilities. This is a project-focused role that will have some recurring monthly responsibilities.A successful analyst will be able to reconcile large data sets and understand variances, quickly learn and execute transactional tasks in multiple systems, and be adaptable to working with GL, Operational, and AP accounting.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Document financial transactions and record entries in ledgersEnsure cash, AR and deferred revenue reconciliations are completed timely and accuratelyResearch transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatmentTrack project progress and communicate progress and roadblocks timelyAssist manager with ad hoc job requests and analysis as neededAdditional job duties as assignedRequirements & Qualifications:Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceSelf-starter and able to work independently with minimal directionWork in an organized manner with high attention to detailConsistently meets tight deadlinesCommunicate effectively in oral and written formManage multiple priorities/tasksEstablish and maintain effective working relationshipsComfortable working with large data sets in ExcelExperience with Great Plains is a plusAbout Us:City Experiences’ passion is to provide amazing experiences on land and water.
